What's next from Whymog
It's been a while since we talked shop. So here's what you can expect coming down the pipeline in the next few months.
First: I'm starting over with development on Trash Kings. Well, sort of. The design work is largely carrying over, but I started programming it when I knew absolutely nothing about modern frontend web frameworks and state managers and all that good stuff, so I'm gonna start with a clean slate and see what I can come up with. I'm hoping to find some way to make development on this game more visible, so if you have any ideas, I'm all ears—just drop me a DM on Twitter or something.
Second: After getting roughly 60% through a text adventure I've been collaborating with some friends with, it sat idle for about six months while other priorities emerged in our lives. But here's some good news: we're ready to get moving on it again and wrap it up. I'm trying to be evasive about the subject matter and the scope of the game, but if you're a fan of the other stuff I've worked on, I think this'll be to your liking as well.
I don't have an ETA for the second game, but in the case of Trash Kings, I'm aiming to have something playable soon. Like, this-summer soon. So if you're interested in playing a bizarre clicker about subjugating the human race, hit ya boy up~
